What Exactly Is Prenatal Massage?
It is all about you and your baby’s well-being
Just like regular massage, it’s a therapeutic workout that loosens the muscles and joints, improves the circulation, relieves fatigue and, in aiding the body, also benefits the mind and spirit. The difference is that prenatal massage is performed by a trained specialist and targeted to the unique needs of mothers-to-be.
All massages are an hour in duration. They are given with great care utilizing the BodyCushion system which allows you to lie face-down with proper spinal alignment or on a cushioned table in a “side-lying” position with your body fully supported with pillows. The massage therapist then employs a combination of styles such as Swedish massage, acupressure, and mild stretching to relax and soothe the body, treat and ease tensions.
At the end of the session you are left feeling restored, relaxed and comfortable in your new body.
