Certified Childbirth Instructor

Ellyn is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Instructor with over thirty years of experience as a Labor & Delivery Nurse, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Perinatal Clinical Specialist. She was the lead Childbirth Educator for Metropolitan Hospital, and teaches ongoing CBE classes for the East Harlem Neighborhood Action Center and Harlem Yoga Studio. She is a Senior Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Teacher at both Prenatal Yoga Center and Harlem Yoga Studio, and a Teaching Assistant in the Body Ready Method® Program. She is still in awe of the mystery of birth, and brings this attitude to our lighthearted and accessible workshop.
